Energy XXI Doubles In Size With $1 Billion Exxon Acquisition

Energy XXI announced this evening the acquisition of the majority of ExxonMobil's fields in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico. For $1.01 billion cash Exxi will get nine fields emcompassing 130,000 net acres with 50 million barrels of proven reserves (61% oil) generated current production of 20,000 boepd.  Link to full story
